Child poverty and children's rights

Dr McKendrick has been invited by the Scottish Alliance on Children’s Rights to contribute to one of the four national seminars to discuss the Scottish Government’s response to the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child 2008 Concluding Observations. John will present a paper on the theme of ‘Child poverty in Scotland: incidence, impact and the interface with children's rights’ at the Ramada Hotel in Inverness and will share a platform with Professor Kathleen Marshall, Scotland’s Commissioner for Children and Young People.
